  1. Hi Stan, I hope things are going well with you. I thoroughly enjoy looking at your work. They're wonderfully mysterious!

  2. I continue to be an avid fan of your work! Your designs and concepts are masterful and worthy of intense study. I'm always THIRSTY for more!

  3. Peggy - Thank you. I can't complain about life, but there is so much of it on my plate right now it's a little disconcerting. I keep painting. I keep drawing. I know you are doing the same.

JB - Thank you - These two paintings are the firs two in a series - "Depravity"

Kathy - Thank you - you are a loyal thirst quencher.

To all of you - I'm hoping to retire or semi retire here in the near future. All that means is adding more time in my life to work at all the things I love. Blogging in this community of artists is one of those things. Until then I'll do what I can when ever I can.

  4. Wow! These are great! It's good to see you're still at it. I've missed you, but understand exactly what you mean about a full plate. I'm glad you still are making time to create.

  5. Don - Thank You. That plate has an assortment of items on it, some of them I like and some are like those peas I didn't want to eat when I was a kid wanting to go out and play before the sun went down. I ate them!

  6. These are great. I especially like the colors and movement in the second piece.

  7. Mary Anne - Thanks! At one time in my painting life I had a strong aversion to green.

  8. Stan, I can only discern that you create these pieces of ephemeral beauty and depth through years of work and study. You have a mastery with your abstracts that is rare. You have an originality and a substance that is unequaled. Truly, I've never seen anything like it.

It's good to have you back around, but I completely understand and respect that other duties take precedence. I hope you can get to all the good stuff sooner rather than later.

  9. Pam - Thanks. I actually gave it up for about 20 years, but after finding out I had cancer 8 years ago I made some choices about the time I have left: DO NOT WASTE IT! Life is a vapor, here for a short while.

  10. There's something very intriguing about these; I especially like the second one!

  11. Sharmon - Thank You! One of my critique groups went wild with this. One went so far as to say it was the best painting she'd ever seen of mine. The painting is the end product of what I started in a workshop I taught a couple few weeks ago.

Kimberly - Thank you, I appreciate it when fellow artists "love" my work.

Waldemar - Thank you, I see similarities in our concern with the human condition.
